‘20, 35 & 60+’ is a visual memoir, a fragmented snapshot of my life’s journey. Using photos of myself at 22, taken in Iran, a publicity shot from my acting days at 35, and a recent selfie in my 60s, I’ve woven together some of the defining chapters of my life. The curious thing is, despite the wrinkles, balk head and grey hairs, inside I am still that 22-year-old. So much so, that I often get a bit of a shock when I look in the mirror and see this old geezer staring back! Perhaps you can relate?
With this piece, I invite you to reflect on your own journey through time, the changes we all face, and the surprising ways in which, despite it all, we remain, at heart, the same.
