Some paintings begin with what is in front of you—others with a question, a moment of curiosity, or something that lodged in the imagination and refused to move.

Genesis – Refractions brings together works born from those moments. Saturn’s rings. Prehistoric cave paintings. A bowl of fruit and flowers becoming something else. A Van Gogh drawing transformed into a walnut carving. Each began with something real, but arrived somewhere unexpected.
