In these photorealistic oil portraits, I aim to capture the genuine sense of connection I felt during my encounters with these remarkable individuals. Despite different backgrounds and, at times, formidable language barriers, we connected simply as people.

Each painting focuses on the moment that best reflects that connection—the contemplative pause before The Gatekeeper smiled, the sparkle in The Brazilian’s eyes, or the guarded reserve of L’ancien Légionnaire. These encounters remind me that, however different our lives may appear, we have far more in common than divides us.
