Dancing with the shadows of those I have been…

In the theatre of life, we are all both performers and spectators, constantly transitioning between stage and audience. ‘Dancing with the shadows of those I have been…’ is a personal exploration of the roles I’ve played, the stages I’ve tread, and the memories I’ve collected along the way.

As an Irish artist who has called London home for over four decades, my journey has been a tapestry woven from the threads of my acting career, my Irish roots, and my evolution as a painter. Each painting in this collection is a snapshot of a life lived, a moment captured in time, a shadow of who I once was.

From the self-portraits that confront the struggles and triumphs of my past to the paintings that pay homage to my Irish heritage and the sea that shaped my childhood, every piece is a brushstroke in the larger narrative of my life. Through the lens of my art, I invite you to join me on this intimate journey of self-discovery, to dance with the shadows of my past, and to, perhaps, find pieces of yourself reflected in the stories I tell.
